Kandopa - Sugu Road Project | Aiya LLG, Kagua Erave District, Southern Highlands Province

Wasu Building Construction & Civil Works Limited (WBC&CWL) is pleased to provide an update on the progress of the "Kandopa to Sugu Road" corridor in Aiya LLG, Kagua-Erave District, Southern Highlands Province. This important Project was funded by the Kagua-Erave District Development Authority in partnership with Southern Highlands Provincial Government.
Phase 1: Completed
The first phase, covering 11km fresh-cut, has been completed. This captures the road sections from Katalo Village towards Lakaria and from Katalo to Imane, with the road now reaching Imane Village through the funding from KEDDA & SHPG.
Phase 2: Yet to be Executed
The second phase is yet to be executed. Its implementation will further advance the broader road connectivity objectives for communities in greater Sugu Valley.
Despite ongoing financial challenges, WBC&CWL has committed and deployed its own resources together with the KEDDA & SHPG to complete the first phase. This reflects the company's determination to support rural services' delivery.
WBC&CWL sincerely acknowledges the undivided trust and funding of the KEDDA, SHPG and the project impacted people towards this important project. Partnerships between these two government arms and WBC&CWL remain essential in bringing such service closer to rural communities.
