The Roma Health Centre Redevelopment Project, located in Roma, Yamil Tamui LLG, Maprik District, East Sepik Province, is one of our flagship healthcare infrastructure projects currently under construction.

Proudly delivered by WBC&CWL., the project is funded by Ok Tedi Mining Limited under the Infrastructure Tax Credit Scheme and administered by the Office of National Planning and Monitoring. 

From initial site clearing and earthworks to structural construction, service installations, and finishing works, our team has managed every stage of this project with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and efficient project delivery. Through careful planning, technical coordination, and collaboration with project stakeholders, we have transformed an existing rural health post into a modern healthcare facility that will serve more than 200,000 people throughout Yamil Tamui LLG and neighbouring communities.

Phase 1: Our team has successfully delivered major infrastructure including:

• Modern Level 3 Health Centre with outpatient, examination, procedure and delivery facilities. 

• High-set three-bedroom staff residence complete with white and brown goods. 

• 12-bed ward building. 

• Quality perimeter security fencing. 

• Guard house and generator shed. 

• Modern healthcare waste management system. 

• Installation of a 66 kVA standby generator. 

• Supply of a fully equipped ambulance to support emergency healthcare services. 

Phase 2: Construction continues as WBC&CWL progresses into the next stage of development, which includes:

• Construction of four new high-set steel-framed staff houses. 

• A dedicated 12-bed TB and HIV ward.

• Retaining walls, site landscaping, drainage, and internal access roads. 

• Permanent security fencing with lighting. 

• Medical waste incinerator. 

• Bore water supply and water treatment system. 

• Hospital laboratory with children's ward. 

• Installation of additional medical equipment and clinical infrastructure.
